HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) – The National Weather Service said three tornadoes touched down in western Kentucky’s Christian County over the weekend when a severe storm passed through the area.
The Kentucky New Era cited the National Weather Service in Paducah in reporting that an EF-2 tornado hit in northern Christian County Sunday evening and two EF-0 tornadoes hit in other areas.
The weather service findings released Tuesday said most of the damage came from the EF-2 tornado. The twister destroyed 16 barns and damaged 10 others as well as two homes.
No injuries were reported from the storm.
