Tornado warnings popped up in northern and central Minnesota on Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Tornado in Staples, 6:30 p.m.
Funnel cloud in Nisswa, 6:54 p.m.
Funnel cloud in Watson, 7:33 p.m.
Funnel cloud in Crosby, 7:07 p.m.
After 7 p.m., the National Weather Service issued additional tornado warnings for storms that were capable of producing tornadoes. The majority of storms calmed down by 9:30 p.m.
Damage from the storms. Reports of damage to homes in Stearns and Crow Wing County came in via Twitter Sunday night.
A large tree fell on residents’ home in Crow Wing County due to high winds – trapping them inside and causing minor injuries, reported the National Weather Service. Multiple large trees also fell in Woodrow.
An 85-year-old woman in Crow Wing County was injured too.
Unconfirmed reports from emergency management say there were people trapped in their homes in Crosby and in a mobile home in Deerwood, according to Minnesota Tornado Watch’s Facebook post.
Giant balls of hail were spotted in Nisswa and in other parts of the state as well, according to Twitter reports:
