Trigg County, KY. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah, Kentucky confirmed Tuesday that an EF-0 tornado touched down in Trigg County during the strong and severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon that stretched across the Cadiz and Hopkinsville area.
Meteorologist Ryan Presley with the NWS office said the tornado touched down about two miles southwest of Cerulean around 2:27 p.m.
“It was a rather weak tornado though, it was on the ground for about 4-and-a-half-miles or so, the width was about 125 yards,” Presley said.
The winds were estimated at around 80 mph with reported damage to at least six barns with one small barn completely leveled. One house had its porch roof blown off and there was damage to a number of trees.
