BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio —
At least one tornado touched down near Dayton Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
NWS said an observer at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base confirmed a tornado formed in Park Layne, just north of Dayton in Clark County.
This tornado spawned from the same cell that moved through Warren County, Chief Meteorologist Kevin Robinson said.
NWS officials confirm it was an EF1 tornado, causing damage across the area. Maximum winds are estimated at 100 mph.
A gas station pavilion toppled over and huge sewer pipes that were stacked near the roadway went flying. One pipe broke through the display window of a motorcycle dealership, landing inside the showroom.
No injuries were reported.
The National Weather Service is also investigating another possible tornado in Jeffersonville along Interstate 71.
