Sanremo, Italy (APTN / CBS Newspath) — A tornado hit Sanremo, a coastal city in northwestern Italy, on Friday.
According to Italian media reports, the tornado started at sea, close to the beaches of the famous tourist resort in the Italian Riviera, and then moved into the city centre.
According to Italian firefighters, it caused serious damage in the city centre, with lots of broken glass and damaged vehicles.
One woman was slightly injured.
