The National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes touched down in the Local 6 area.

Rick Shanklin with the NWS Paducah was out surveying damage today and says an EF-1 tornado touched down in Murray.

That tornado brought wind speeds as fast as 105 miles per hour, spanned 1.5 miles, with a path was as wide as 100 yards.

40 homes were damaged with at least 4 businesses damaged as well.

The NWS found one home that was a complete loss, other homes had shingle and gutter damage, and other homes had some more major damage in the southern part of the city.

There were also a couple eyewitness reports of the Murray tornado.

No one was hurt.

There was also an EF-0 tornado that touched down in the Lone Oak area in McCracken County.

That storm had winds of up to 65 miles per hour.

The damage was mostly trees uprooted; some homes and garages also saw some shingles blown off.

There was one eyewitness account out of Lone Oak.

Shanklin says our area was very lucky to have not seen any injuries.
