MANGUM, Okla. —
A tornado left behind damage after it touched down Monday evening in the southwest Oklahoma city of Mangum, officials said.
City officials said the tornado directly hit a house near an airport west of Mangum, a barn containing pigs was damaged and power lines are down. A two-story apartment complex also had its roof taken off and four units in the building sustained damage.
No injuries have been reported as of 6 p.m. Monday, but authorities said two ambulance crews and two crews with the police department are being sent out to assess the area.
An official at Mangum Regional Medical Center said 15 patients and 17 staff members were taken down to a storm shelter after hearing sirens and receiving a call from the police department.
