National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes hit Logan County Sunday morning

LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. —
Two tornadoes hit Logan County early Sunday morning, the National Weather Service confirmed after a damage survey.

Both tornadoes were rated EF-0.

The first touched down about 3.2 miles southeast of Paris. Its winds were as strong as 80 mph and it was 25 yards wide. It traveled for about a tenth of a mile.

The second was about 4.5 miles southeast of Paris. Its winds were also as strong as 80 mph. It was also 25 yards wide and traveled for about a tenth of a mile.

The tornadoes uprooted and snapped trees. A mobile home porch and roof were damaged.

These were the 23rd and 24th tornadoes to hit Arkansas so far this year.
