NASA investigation of plasma phenomena in the solar system, including Voyager and Cassini data, lightning and storms and aurora comparisons between Earth and Saturn, MMS satellite measurements of near earth space weather, terrestrial gamma ray flash (TGF) generation by storms here on earth, and participation of the Global Electric Circuit in storm activity (proposed by CTR Wilson Nobel Laureate 1920’s) being studied by NCAR, University of Colorado and Penn State. Measurements of the 2011 severe thunderstorm and tornado sferics are provided. Meteorology dismissed the exchange of energy between the upper and lower atmosphere for decades as shown in the excellent PBS NOVA documentary “At the edge of Space” video available on Netflix, and on the spaceweather.com website.
